In 2020, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights issued twenty-one judgments on merits, and one on interpretation, as well as the record forty-nine orders on monitoring compliance with judgment and twenty-five orders on provisional measures. In addition to adapting its functions to the global context of the COVID-19 pandemic, last year the Court saw the greatest jurisdictional production in its history. The contentious cases in this edition of the Yearbook shed light on some of these advances in the Court’s jurisprudence. |
