Observation of transverse polarization in LEP

Popis:	Experimental results on the observation of transverse polarization in LEP at 46.5 GeV/beam are presented and discussed. The level of transverse polarization was determined by monitoring the mean shift of the vertical distributions of the backscattered photons under helicity reversal of the circularly polarized laser light. Plans for polarization studies and absolute LEP energy calibration are also presented. >
