Popis: Over the last decade there has been increasing interest in the measurement of blood pressure during childhood and adolescence. Generally, a number of investigators have hypothesized that elevated blood pressure during childhood and adolescence may be predictive of elevated blood pressure and/or hypertension in adulthood. This hypothesis is supported by the evidence that elevated blood pressure in early adulthood tends to track or positively correlate over time with elevated and hypertensive blood pressures in older adults.(10)
