In this work a microstrip patch antenna with triangular slot array has been proposed for C–band and X-band applications. Here, the triangular slots are placed on the patch that is lying on the substrate of the antenna, where the return loss performance has been improved to enhance the bandwidth at a desired frequency. Further, the proposed design has used rogers RT / duroid 5870 (tm) as substrate material between patch and ground surface with dielectric constant 2.33 and 0.0012 loss tangent as numerical values. The proposed antennas have been designed and simulated by using High Frequency Structural Simulation software to understand and analyze the performance characteristics of the designed antenna. |
