Popis:	The interaction of SF6 with MgO, NiO, SiO2, and water has been investigated in the temperature range 25–500° and the pressure range 1–4000 atm. In each case SO2F2 and the appropriate fluoride were formed at a minimum temperature of 475° and 130 atm. At higher pressures the yield increased reaching 90 per cent based on the limiting reagent at 4000 atm.
