Popis: Twenty six women with histologically proven endometrioid carcinoma of the ovary were treated at the Gynaecological Unit of the Universiti Kebanosaan Malaysia in the decade 1980 to 1989. The incidence was highest in the Malay population with the majority of patients aged between 40 to 59 years. The disease was most common in nulliparous women. Abdominal swelling was the most common presenting symptom whilst an abdominal or pelvic mass was found in all patients. Five patients had coexisting endometrial adenocarcinoma. There was definite histological evidence of endometriosis in 3 cases. During the decade studied there was 8 serous cystadenocarcinomas and 5 mucinous cystadenocarcinomas (including boderline lesions).
