Popis:	Salmon-canning waste water was shown to support the growth of six species of bacteria both as a complete growth medium and as a supplementary source of available nitrogen. On this basis, the waste water compared favourably to six commercially available sources of nitrogen used routinely in microbiological growth media. Possibilities are discussed for the microbiological conversion of salmon-canning wastes into useful and marketable products.
