The essence of information has become more crucial for organizations, particularly in the digital age, where the creation of information is at exponential growth. The absence of proper classification of data and information hampered the quality in terms of consistency and reliability of the information. As a consequence, there is data redundancy, inaccuracy, and uncertainty. Hence, an information governance framework would be developed based on empirical evidence gathered in the research. Face to face interviews were conducted for data collection and in depth interviews carried out in ensuring a comprehensive understanding on the issue.
