Popis:	Chromosomal proteins of lens epithelium from bullfrogs, leopard frogs, and rabbits have been isolated and compared. Gels of frog lens histones contain one more band than those of rabbits. Qualitatively, the NHCPs of the two amphibians are nearly identical. Coupling between histone and DNA synthesis in the rabbit lens was demonstrated by use of cytosine arabinoside. The block was reversed with deoxycytidine.
