In recent years, in some areas, the summer use of water for sprinkling and the nonconserved use for air conditioning have placed such an increased burden on water systems that adjustments in water rates are desirable if each user is to pay for his service, as nearly as practicable, on the basis of cost. To accomplish these adjustments, information is needed on the maximum-day demand assignable to each class of service to domestic use, sprinkling, air conditioning, commercial and industrial use, and fire protection. |
