Popis: Some recent developments in the synthesis and modification of Y-zeolites and their influence on the performance of cracking catalysts are reviewed. In these catalysts also functional ingredients as active aluminas and metal traps are incorporated. The effect of alumina on pore size distribution and thus on the crackability of heavier feedstocks in discussed. Further the mechanism of metal passivation in outlined.
