Popis: | This paper considers a simplified model of football in which passes are made according to a Markov chain. The authors focus on the time evolution of the ball-passing network. The theoretical formula for the number of different passes based on the Markov chain is derived, and its results are compared with real ball-passing data. The authors conclude that the Markov chain is a fairly good approximation even during the game. |
