Structural Units in K2O-PbO-SiO2 Glasses by Raman Spectroscopy

Popis: Raman spectra of glasses in the system K2O-PbO-SiO2 and of crystalline K2O·4SiO2, K2O·2SiO2, K2O·SiO2, PbO, PbO· SiO2, K2O· PbO ·4SiO2, K2O· 4PbO ·8SiO2, and K2O ·2PbO· 2SiO2 are reported and used to identify some of the structural units of the glasses. It is indicated that, in the glasses, silicate networks are present which are similar to those in crystalline K2O ·2SiO2, K2O ·SiO2, PbO ·SiO2, and K2O· PbO· 4SiO2, and to those in vitreous SiO2 and 0.30PbO0.70SiO2 glass.
