Popis: | Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a genetic condition affecting the enamel of teeth with no system ic involvement. In this condition, patients can present changes in thickness, colour and shape of enamel, which leads to compromising the aesthetics and appearance of the patient along with impaored masticatory functions. Various treatment modalities are available for rehabilitation of such patients, like prosthetic procedures. This report shows a suspected case of AI and describes the clinical procedures of anterior aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of a young adult patient with involving the use of direct resin composite restorations and the use of all ceramic prosthesis. The overall result is remarkably different from the original appearance is a huge boost to the moral confidence of the patient. |
