Educational Platform for an Underground Smart Parking using Programmable Logic Controllers

Popis: This paper describes a smart parking system using the Ladder Diagram programming language that can be used by students to understand the principles of a process automation. It is an educational platform that gives information about what elements are part of such programs, how to implement them using a programmable logic controller, how to create a Logical Diagram / Organization Chart and simulate the program. This type of application approach fits well due to the reorganization of the educational teaching system that has been a great challenge for many teachers during the pandemic, not only regarding the teaching curriculum, but also regarding teaching methods. Also, because of the constantly growing digitalization, virtual laboratories and electronic learning platforms must become frequent teaching methods, especially in higher education systems.
