Etude par spectrométrie i.r. et Raman de l'indole et de l'indolizine. Liaison hydrogène NH ⋯ π

Popis: The i.r. and Raman spectra of liquid and crystalline indole, indolizine and numerous deuterated derivatives have been investigated between 4000 and 200 cm−1. Infrared spectra of gas and solutions were also examined. An assignment of all 42 intramolecular fundamentals is given, as well as a distinction between the most characteristic of pentagonal and hexagonal rings. In indolizine, the latter is equivalent to ortho-disubstituted benzene, while in indole it is different. In liquid and solid states, indole is autoassociated in chains by NH ⋯ π hydrogen bonds characterized by a relative NH stretching frequency shift of 3.5%.
