Popis: | MicroRNAs are small noncoding RNAs involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. In recent years, works demonstrating changes in the miRNA profile in tissues in type 2 diabetes mellitus were published. This work provides a systematic review of the results of 91 studies published from November 2009 to June 2020. Prospects for the use of miR-29a, -34a, -126, -144, -375 as potential biomarkers of type 2 diabetes mellitus are considered, and possible target genes of these miRNAs and mechanisms of the participation in glucose metabolism are also discussed. |
