Tremendous progress has been made in OLEDs since its early discovery in Kodak more than 35 years ago, which is now becoming one of the mainstream displays in the marketplace. This article reviews briefly recent development of its science and technology with emphasis on OLED materials & devices as well as pertinent optics catering to the interest of this book. It is divided roughly into five sections, namely Introduction, Materials, Devices, Applications and Perspectives. Key references are provided at the end for further study. |
