Popis: | The present research employed three body abrasion wear mechanism to study the wear behavior of the fabricated iron mud glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite. It utilized iron mine wastes for developing a new class of wear resistant hybrid polymer composites, which were fabricated via hand-layup process. The abrasive wear performance of these composites at dry conditions were investigated for different input parameters of iron mud content, load, sliding distance, and sliding velocity. Twenty-nine experimental runs were performed according to Box-Behnken design of experiment technique. ANOVA was carried out to determine the statistical significance and percentage contribution of control factors. To achieve minimum specific wear rate, Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was adopted to optimize the parameters. Moreover, the model estimated results were confirmed to the experimental one which observed a close relationship also |
