Behaviour of aQ-device in the low density range

Popis: Experimental verification of the "equilibrium" theory in a Q-device is attempted in the low density range by using, apart from probes, resonance fluorescence scattering and microwave methods to measure the density in a singly ionized barium plasma. The results still show a similar n dependence, and the particle losses are larger than expected from the theory. However, the exact nature of these particle losses is not yet known.
