Popis: Arginase activity has been demonstrated in the liver, kidney, and brain tissues of nine species of lizards. In addition arginase has also been shown in the testis, duodenum, ileum, and ovary of Calotes versicolor. In the light of these findings, Clementi's long-standing rule that arginase is absent from the liver of the uricotelic vertebrates stands invalid.
