Popis: | Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery which provides a number of benefits, such as faster recovery and minimal incision. However, due to the limited field of view caused by the use of an arthroscope and the difficulties associated with maneuvering surgical instruments through a narrow portal, a highly skilled surgeon is often required. To cope with this, various surgical training simulators have been developed. This study proposes novel designs for the surgical instruments to be used for a shoulder joint arthroscopic surgery simulator. In-depth analysis on the surgical instruments used in the shoulder joint arthroscopic surgery training has been conducted, and novel surgical instruments for a training simulator is developed. The developed surgical instrument is equipped with sensors and actuators to deliver haptic sensation to the users. |
