It is noted that relay control systems do not provide the required quality of the indoor temperature conditions, and PID controllers require a careful individual parameter setting. An alternative solution is to create self-adaptive control systems. Taking into account the physical heat exchange processes, we built a system of differential equations for the heat balance of a room with a heat source coming from the electric heater and heat-receiving enclosure surfaces. The room is treated as an object with lumped parameters. We determined the types of the transfer function of the electric heater and the heated room. We presented diagrams of the electric heater and air temperature change during heating. We determined the parameters of the mathematical models of the electric heater and the heated room: time constants and transfer factors, by the transient heating processes of the electric heater and the heated room. The obtained results can be used to synthesize a self-adaptive control system that provides a required quality of the air temperature control in the premises with electric heating. |
