Popis: This is an approximate theoretical analysis with regard to surface heat transfer on a rough surface plate. From our experimental results, we assumed that the velocity distribution of the turbulent layer in turbulent boundary layer which was influenced by the surface roughness, was expressed by the following relation. [numerical formula] Where n is a function of the surface roughness. And, by assuming the existence of the viscous layer, we obtained the velocity and temperature-distribution in boundary layer, and moreover surface heat transfer coefficient. The result is as follows : -Nu/(R6)=k2/((n+2)2)/{1+(σ-1)[n(n+2)3/(k4(n+1))Re-1]1/(n-1) Where Nu is Nusselt's number, Re is Reynolds' number and σ is Prandtl's number. This result agrees well with our experimental results performed by using air.
