Popis:	The reaction of N,N′-carbonyldiimidazole with but-3 enoic acid did not lead to the expected azolide; its rearrangement into conjugated isomer was followed by imidazole addition to the double bond. These two reactions make inefficient this preparative method for esters and peresters of alkyl substituted α, β-ethylenic acids and β,γ-ethylenic acids without substituent on the α-carbon.
