Popis:	Pharmacognostic study of Colchicum luteum, a substitute of Colchicum autumnale was undertaken to identify and distinguish the two. Powder microscopy, physical evaluation of the powdered corm including ash value, extractive values, fluorescence analysis, light absorption and chemical evaluation by spectroscopic method were performed.
