| Popis: | The objective is to evaluate the effects of phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) in bullous keratopathy patients. Phototherapeutic keratectomy was performed in a pseudophakic patient with corneal decompensation after lens extraction, with the excimer laser Nidek EC 5000 after manual corneal epithelial debridement. There was no pain after fifteen days the laser applicattion and during the eight months of follow-up. Visual acuity was unchanged. The phototherapeutic keratectomy excimer laser must be considered one more alternative for pain treatment in bullous keratopathy of pseudophakic patients. |
