Popis: The brachial plexus is formed by the anterior divisions (ventral rami) of the somatic nerves C5, C6, C7, C8, and T1. It may also receive contributions from C4 which gives a branch to C5 and from T2 which gives a branch to T1. If this contribution is mainly or exclusively from C4, the plexus is defined by Winnie as ‘prefixed’, whereas when it comes largely or solely from T2, the plexus is defined as ‘postfixed.’
