Popis: | In diverse engineering applications, ongoing research on natural fibres has extended its possibilities owing to outstanding physical, mechanical and anti-corrosive characteristics. Banana fiber, a natural fiber obtained as agricultural waste, can improve the properties of epoxy composite with an overall reduction in the cost. In this article, non-woven banana fibre reinforced epoxy compositesfabricated with different weight percentages of fibre content (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%). The produced composites samples were examined for physical and mechanical characteristics. Water absorption rate showed proportional behavior with fiber loading in the composite. The maximum value of Tensile and flexural Strength wasobserved as 65.6 MPa and 38.1 MPa, respectively, at 30 wt% of fiber. Whereas, maximum impact strength and hardness were found at 40 wt% of fiber were 2.8 Joules and 45.6 HV, respectively. |
