Popis: | Offshore wind turbines (WT) can cause wrong estimation of radial speed of nautical traffic by marine radar. The error in measured radial speed due to rotor forward scattering is investigated for S band radar using Fresnel-Kirchhoff diffraction approach. Based on the insight into Fresnel zone shading a scenario with high impact of rotor forward scattering on the Doppler error is selected. Deviation of instantaneous Doppler frequency as well as time-frequency spectrum of the modulation signal within the interval of time on target is investigated. |
