Popis: | Evidence concerning the order-disorder phenomenon and the associated ionic conductivity changes in solid solutions is presented. A cylindrical specimen of Zr/sub 0.82/Ca/sub 0.18/O/sub 1.82/ sintered at 2000 deg C amd painted with Pt paste was used im the electric conductivity measurements at 1000 cps. Tests of cycling between ordered and disordered states showed that the effect is related to recoverable structural changes. The conductivity changes with time during the disorder-order transition were also studied. Results indicate that the conductivity chamge is interpreted as an order-disorder phenomenon rather than the precipitation of a second phase. (J.R.D.) |
