Popis: The structures of LaCr0.6Ni0.4O3 and LaCr0.6Ni0.4O2.8 have been determined by Rietveld refinement of neutron powder diffraction data. LaCr0.6Ni0.4O3 adopts the orthorhombic GdFeOs structure with space group Pnma, a = 5.4735(1) A, b = 7.7568(2) A, c = 5.5105(1) A, V = 233.96 A3, Z = 4. LaCr0.6Ni0.4O2.8 is rhombohedral, with space group R3c, and a = 5.5264(3) A, c = 13.2991(4) A, V = 351.754 aA3, Z = 6.
