Popis:	The DACCORD project is developing a system architecture for dynamic traffic management in the inter-urban domain. Unfortunately, the necessity for performing such an endeavour is not immediately obvious for everyone. To explain this, the background, rationale and characteristics of an architecture are explained, in the light of the specific properties of a system for dynamic traffic management. DACCORD’s efforts, results and progress down the path to a system architecture are described.
