Popis: Acid phosphatase has been studied in total homogenates of adult females of Aedes aegypti L. Acid phosphatase when studied on disodium β-glycerophosphate possesses the following characteristics: soluble in water; confined to the supernatant fraction of centrifuged homogenates; kinetics zero order; pH optimum 4·6-5·3; temperature optimum 45°C; Q10 2·13 (25–35°C); activated by Mg (optimum 0·08-0·16 M); Ca, Co, and Fe; inhibited by Mg (0·30 M or higher), fluoride, azide, and oxalate.
