A method for the separation of mono- and diacetates of di- and trioxygenated steroids is described. This procedure involves chromatographic adsorption on paper with less polar solvents. Of the steroids that have a C3 hydroxyl group it was possible to separate the two isomers with an axial configuration as well as the two isomers with an equatorial configuration. |
