Popis: In this abstract we introduce a wavefield extrapolation based summation for prestack time migration (PSTM). Similar to Kirchhoff PSTM, this migration algorithm produces an image at any subsurface point by using single rms velocity value. The phase-shift plus interpolation (PSPI) calculates each single-trace-contribution and the summation of all single-trace-contributions generates the final image. This PSTM algorithm has not only most of the Kirchhoff PSTM advantages but also better handling of the true-amplitude and thus generates a high-quality image.
