1. 1. A study was made of mass-spectra of 29 stereisomers of 2,3-, 2,4-, 2,8- and 2,9-dimethylbicyclo[44.4.0]decanes. 2. 2. Peak intensities of M + and (MCH 3 ) + normally decrease with a reduction of the relative stability of stereoisomers, while peak intensities of ions formed during splitting of rings increase. Splitting of bonds at tertiary carbon atoms with a methyl group increases the probability of migration or separation of the hydrogen atom from the ion formed. 3. 3. It is assumed that molecular and some fragmented ions, particularly (MCH 3 ) + , at least partly retain stereoisomer structural features. |
