Popis: Solid-phase syntheses of the 31 residue peptide human β-endorphin on polar polyamide supports are described. Minimisation of acidic reaction conditions by replacement of the customary t-butoxycarbonyl and benzyl-based protecting groups by fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl and t-butyl gave a higher yield of purer product.
