COMPATIBILITY of solar enery collection, storage and supply with energy demands for a fluid milk pro-cessing plant was assessed using TRNSYS (Transient Simulation Program) and F-CHART (economic analysis program). The results show that solar energy can supply up to 34 percent of the processing energy demand but that the economic climate must change markedly for the system to be economically feasible. |
