Clinical diagnoses can be challenging when extracutaneous entities affect the skin layers. These conditions can present as cutaneous lumps or bumps and sonography can support their diagnosis. Thus, there is a wide range of pathologies that can mimic dermatologic diseases. Among this spectrum of lesions are lymph nodes, congenital cysts, tumors, and pseudotumors that originate in neighboring structures as well as anatomical variants of vessels, muscles, and tendons. For academic purposes, the presented pathologies are organized according to the structure of origin. |
