Popis: | The photosynthetic bacterium Rhodobacter capsulatus (formerly Rhodopseudomonas capsulata; Imhoff et al. 1984) is a facultatively anaerobic phototroph, capable of growing either aerobically or anaerobically in the dark, as well as under anaerobic or semi-I aerobic conditions in the light. It is able to use a wide range of organic and inorganic N sources for growth, including NH4 +, N2, and, in some strains, NO3 -. |
