Deformation measurements in underground openings are carried out with different aims and purposes and using varied devices. Benefiting from experience gained over more than 15 years of deformation measurements and absolute movements made in mining roadways, the present paper describes a method of obtaining and, primarily of processing data to achieve the following: (a) analysis of measurements very shortly after taking the final measurements; (b) provisional analysis throught the experimentation; (c) for all analysis, very simple use of the most sophisticated statistical methods; and (d) constitution of data bases with the results obtained, which at a later date, enable easy reference to past experience. |
