Popis: | This study explored the influences of maternal psychological well-being, maternal job support, and paternal involvement on the involvement and authoritative parenting of Hong Kong working mothers. A total of 193 mothers and their spouses completed a questionnaire to assess their involvement. Mothers also completed questionnaires to assess their psychological well-being, perceived job support, and authoritative parenting. Findings from regression analyses showed that maternal psychological well-being, maternal job support, and paternal involvement predicted how involved or authoritative mothers would be in their parenting. The findings reveal that caring relationships, support in the workplace, and paternal involvement are important in encouraging the involvement and authoritative parenting of working mothers. |
