Popis: In his Landmarks of Tomorrow Peter F. Drucker considers many of the new forms in modern production, management, and decision making. Just at the end of the nineteenth century Bernard Berenson had begun a crusade ‘to endow the retinal impression with tactile values.’ There was wide awareness that photography and other technological change had abstracted the retinal impression, as it were, from the rest of the sensorium. In his ‘Culture, Psychiatry, and the Written Word’, J.C. Carothers explains the strange effects of a small degree of literacy on African native sensory life. The African lives typically in the hyperesthetic mode of the ear in which everything is related to everything else in simultaneous relations. In a sense, the architect has always been close to the musician in his concern with sculptural contour and resonance, but today the architect or planner of corporation structures has become very conscious of the pressure of new media in creating new structural forms.
