Nuclear Resonance Flourescence Studies of Levels in Pb, Pb, Pb and Bi below about 5MeV

Popis: Capabilities of the resonance flourescence technique are discussed. Specific reference is given to the study of ground state dipole and electric quadrople transitions below about 5 MeV in 206 Pb, 207 Pb, 208 Pb and 209 Bi. It is suggested that many of the states observed in 207 Pb and 209 Bi arise from the weak-coupling of a p 1 2 neutron hole or an h 9 2 proton to collective levels of 208 Pb.
