Popis: | The possibility of laser crystallization of lithium-niobium-silicate glass by means of visible- and UV-range nanosecond pulses is demonstrated. Glass with the composition 32 mol.% Li2O, 26 mol.% Nb2O5, and 42 mol.% SiO2 was irradiated with a copper vapor laser in the sum-frequency lasing regime at wavelength 271 nm. Glass additionally containing 1.5 mol.% Nd2O3 was irradiated. Local Raman scattering spectroscopy showed the crystal structure formed to be ferroelectric lithium niobate LiNbO3. |
