Popis: | The influence of three pesticides, chlorphenvinphos, carbaryl and propoxur on phosphatase, dehydrogenase and catalase activities of different bacterial species isolated from water were investigated. The pesticides tested were found to inhibit the phosphatase and dehydrogenase of the respiration cycle of bacteria and disturbed seriously the catalytic function of catalase by inhibition or excessive stimulation. The pesticides affected most strongly the phosphatase activity of bacteria causing a potential hazard to the phosphorus regime of water reservoirs. The degree of impairment exerted by the pesticides tested on the enzymatic activity of bacteria depended definitively upon the characteristics of bacteria studied, the chemical structure of the pesticides and the doses applied. |
