Popis:	The successful introduction of orthogonal protecting groups into glucose, maltose, and trehalose derivatives is elaborated using the iron-catalyzed tandem reductive etherification—acetylation of persilylated carbohydrates with benzaldehyde in the presence of triethylsilane.
