Popis: | Investigation of metal ion doped DNA thin films were prepared by drop-casting method. These prepared films were characterized by various techniques such as Raman, SEM and UV-Vis measurements. The binding of Mn 2+ to the charged phosphate groups of DNA was observed in the Raman analysis. Scanning Electron microscopy demonstrated that addition of guest does not change the amorphous nature of the samples. From UV-Vis spectra, the absorbance peak shifted from 280 nm to 290 nm by increasing the metal ion concentration. These prepared Mn-doped DNA thin films have recent applications in nanotechnology, biosensors and bioelectronics. |
