Popis:	An efficient method for the synthesis of spirooxindolopyrrolizidine/spirooxindolothiapyrrolizidine by the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides generated via, decarboxylative condensation of 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds and L-proline/L-thiaproline/sarcosine with chalcones at ambient conditions with excellent yields has been described.
